Editor's Take

If there’s a firm that amazes me beyond everything, it is this firm. There are firms that design buildings, and then there’s Fulgar Architects, a practice that designs entire destinations. Founded in 2013 by Ar. Ian Fulgar, this is the firm behind golf estates, township ventures, resort hospitality, gaming complexes, high-rises, and retirement communities that don’t just look world-class but actually are. What makes Fulgar stand out isn’t just the scale — it’s the philosophy. They call it meta-modern architecture: a design language that sits at the intersection of innovation, culture, and forward thinking, producing work that feels both timeless and unmistakably of this moment. With clients like Megaworld, PAGCOR, and PJ Lhuillier Group, the track record speaks louder than any portfolio page ever could. This is Philippine architecture at its most ambitious, and Ar. Ian Fulgar is one of the names you need to know. But of course, our focus are on the residental projects – it amazes me as well because it has projects that has my favorite style which is Japandi.
